- It all started with a vibratory roller - Vibratory Roller and Plant Hire (Northern) Limited was born.

- Heading for Australia with the Civil Engineering Business.

- Opening of the first section of the M1, which helped propel the company to over ten years of unbroken profits growth.

- 1960
- Company Name became Vibroplant and the V logo was adopted.

- 1973
- Vibroplant was floated on the stock market.

- 1975
- Airpac division created.

- 1976
- The Recession was starting to have an effect.

- 1977
- Portable buildings division created.

- 1978
- Geoffrey Pilkington dies aged 57.

- 1981
- Jeremy Pilkington aged 30 took over as Chairman of Vibroplant. Prospect Tool Hire started serving the professional and DIY tool hire market. Shorpak Trench Systems started Aerial work platform division, Hi-Work set up.

- 1982
- Expansion into the U.S market. Vibroplant bought Florida Hi-Lift Corp.

- 1984
- Airpac expansion and growth continues.

- 1992
- Groundforce becomes Vibroplant’s biggest acquisition in the UK to date.

- 1994
- Represents the 40th anniversary.

- 1995
- Launch of Service Master.

- 1996
- Vibroplant sells American Hi-Lift. Vibroplant acquires Cannon Tool Hire.

- 1997
- Torrent Trackside acquired.

- 2001
- Formation of UK Forks. Vibroplant named Vp.

- 2002
- Acquisition of Mechplant.

- 2003
- Acquisition of Trenchshore.

- 2004
- Acquisition of Eve Shorco.

- 2005
- Acquisition of TPA, ESS and Dudley Vale.

- 2006
- Acquisition of Bukom Oilfield Services and MEP.

- Vp acquire rail plant from First Engineering
