Taking climate action
We are transitioning to a low-carbon business and supporting our customers to do the same. Our ambition is to achieve net-zero emissions across our own operations and value chain by 2050.
All our businesses have developed tailored transition plans identifying when and where they will reduce carbon emissions and improve resource efficiency. ESG has been embedded into the capital expenditure appraisal process and strategic and operational decision-making.
We are collaborating across the value chain with suppliers, customers and stakeholders to drive innovation. With our own teams we are raising awareness of climate change, carbon reporting and circularity through training and awareness initiatives.
Our net zero roadmap demonstrates how we will deliver on our targets, validated by the SBTi. This shows how we plan to halve Scope 1, 2 and key Scope 3 emissions by 2033.

Through a programme of energy-efficiency upgrades for our estate, we are reducing consumption and lowering emissions. We are transitioning our fleet to electric vehicles to reduce environmental impact.
We are also taking deliberate steps to reduce water consumption, minimise waste and reduce reliance on raw materials.
Extending the useful economic life of our fleet through improved maintenance, servicing and repairs can best be achieved through collaboration with our supply chain.
A zero-emissions telehandler is a step closer to being the go-to solution on construction sites thanks to an innovative trial with JCB and Barratt Redrow.
Vp’s approach to servicing precision survey, measurement and safety equipment is extending asset life and reducing carbon emissions.

Our customers are increasingly looking to us for new innovations in sustainable technology. No one business can decarbonise our economy alone, so collaborations like this, between Vp, our supplier and customer, are key to solving our climate challenges.
